Coastal People: Southern Skies

Anne-Marie is a current co-Director and foundational Director of Coastal People: Southern Skies (CPSS). She successfully co-led the bid for CPSS in 2019/2020. Funded by the Tertiary Education Commission, CPSS is one of 10 funded national Centres of Research Excellence. Centres of Research Excellence focus on research excellence and growing research capability and capacity. Danny also worked in CPSS as the Kaitiaki Kaupapa (Community Engagement Manager).

The vision of CPSS is mauri ora of coastal communities. Anne-Marie leads the CPSS strategy and kaupapa Māori research vision, and is the external director working with whānau, hapū and iwi partners, and all external partners. She is also the conduit between the CPSS Board, and management.
